Sailing Area: Antibes – Calvi – Ajaccio – Bonifacio – Maddalena Island – Porto Cervo – Porto Vecchio – Macinaggio – Antibes
Day 1: At 10 o'clock embark the yacht at the port of Vauban in Antibes, the main yachting port of the Côte d'Azur, meet the crew and transfer to Corsica, to Calvi, a picturesque Corsican resort, believed to be the birthplace of Christopher Columbus. Upon arriving, explore the citadel, surrounded by massive Genoese walls, offering breathtaking views of the city and the bay below. Take a stroll along Boulevard Wilson, the city's main shopping street that extends from the Landry waterfront. Enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants in the harbour.
Day 2: After breakfast, take a morning walk through the city and then sail to the Gulf of Girolata. Located on the Scandola Peninsula, this picturesque rocky bay near Piana will captivate you with its pristine coastal caves and crystal-clear sea. Swim and continue your maritime journey through Scandola, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed natural reserve known for its stunning landscapes when viewed from the sea. In the evening, head to Ajaccio, where the yacht will anchor for the night. Enjoy an evening stroll through the city and have dinner at one of the restaurants in the harbour.
Day 3: Breakfast and a journey to Bonifacio – the most popular and picturesque town in Corsica, famous for its mediaeval charm and recognizable due to its mighty limestone cliffs above the sea. Be sure to walk along the waterfront in the harbour and climb up the ancient staircase of King of Aragon to the upper town, which resembles a fortress on a rocky cape, with its mediaeval quarters featuring narrow streets and tall houses.
Day 4: Sail to Maddalena Island, the largest in the archipelago, renowned for its beautiful sandy beaches, the best of which are considered to be Spalmatore and Bassa Trinita. The island is also remarkable for its rose granite cliffs and ancient fortifications. Spend the day boating, swimming in crystal-clear waters, and if you appreciate untouched nature, these places will be a true paradise as the archipelago is a national park and numerous representatives of flora and fauna are protected by the gouvernement.
Day 5: Explore Porto Cervo, located on the northeast coast of Sardinia, known as one of the elite tourist resorts. Thanks to Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, who was enchanted by the beauty of the coastline and purchased land here in the 1960s, this stretch of coastline has become a fashionable resort frequented today by the rich and famous. Throughout the summer season, this is where high society gatherings and exclusive parties take place. From Piazza Giuseppe to Sotto-piazza, the buildings are constructed in the typical Costa Smeralda style, and are lined with numerous boutiques of prestigious brands, which eventually lead to a square overlooking the old port. We propose to spend the night in the Port of Porto Vecchio.
Day 6: The morning can be spent in Porto Vecchio – one of the most beautiful ports in Europe. Make sure to visit the well-preserved citadel, founded in 1539, and stroll through the historic centre with its winding streets. Spend your afternoon doing water sport activities near the beautiful shores of Palombaggia, Santa Giulia Bay, or on the beaches of Pinarellu and San Ciprianu. Plan an overnight stay in the port of Macinaggio.
Day 7: Breakfast on board or at a café in Masinaggio's port. Take a walk through the historic town, visit souvenir shops, and take home the scents of Corsica – essential oils, Corsican wine, watermelon or juniper liqueurs, pâtés and terrines, local spices, and don't forget a souvenir featuring Napoleon's image.
It's time to bid farewell to Corsica – the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, which became part of France in the 18th century, and return to another French coastline – the French Riviera, in the port of Antibes.
